There is a church in New York city that has an area of the church dedicated to those babies who have passed away unborn. It is called the The Shrine of the Holy Innocents. Every first Monday of the month, a special mass is said for those babies and their families. We have decided we would like our baby to be remembered in this special way and in doing so, have chosen the name Elizabeth Ryan for our little one.
Not only is Elizabeth my late grandmother's name, it is also the name of St. Elizabeth of Schonau who's feast day is June 18th, the day our little one will be born into heaven.
